+It was a standardized Imperial communications bird hanging in low earth orbit, cylindrical in shape with an array of antennas aiming both downward and upward, it’s spaceframe set with multiple trusses holding solar panels of a type supplied by the Erbians. The obsession of the species with longevity and sustainability had yielded some of the best low cost long term power options and these not only powered the bird but also provided enough juice for a gravimetric drive. Not a powerful one, but enough to station keep and nudge the bird out of the path of the remains of human space exploration. Derelict either by design or by the overzealous efforts of the invasion, all too numerous and too expensive to remove wholesale.
