The United American Systems, or the UAS in shorthand, is a major human interstellar power of the Sundala Starzone and one of the key members of the Solar Confederation. Fully federalized in 2405 A.D. after the seperate colonies founded by the arks Horizon Bay, the New Dominion, and the Santiago's Reach consolidated into a singular national entity. It represents a cultural and societal successor state to the United American Continental Federation, with most of the population aboard the arks being from this former Sol power bloc.

Located on the 'coreward' stretch of the starzone, the UAS is the 'roof' for the region with their territories reaching from the documented trailward to the spinward ends of the Sundala stellar structure. Controlling twenty-four hospitable worlds the UAS sits as the second largest nation, coming in behind the Coalition of Progressive People's systems and ahead of the European Cooperative Community. These systems are divided into the following three major 'zones' of development:

The development paths were shaped to optimize the development of certain target systems that were directly linked by Ozymandian faster than light gates. These systems often held valuable resources and were positioned in a way that would further optimize trade and resource movement between the inner colonies.
