- Special Intelligence Executive Shar'ni 'Sharna' Mason - Special Intelligence Attaché, Ghost Fleet
- Notes: 48 years old, ex-Interior, ex-Imperial, defected with her daughter after executing someone highly placed and well connected in a moment of rage. Has held various special advisory posts in the UAS military after settling in the UAS frontier and turning her 'cover' marriage into a real one. Was on a return trip to her new home world with her family on board a Marine transport when the fleet made 'The Jump'.

- Notes: Female Erbian, of a somewhat matronly but laid back character when observed but is almost always keeping an eye on everything and knows how to nudge things to keep her boat on track. Was among the first Vaida selected to skipper their now thirty year old independent merchant fleet. Due to their nature she is very perturbed about the presence of armed but very polite UAN Security Troops on all her vessels now that the fleet has been determined to be in the past. Of course she accepts the fact she'd have done the same in their shoes lest someone run off and warn the Imperium of their presence, not that should would now that she's read the contents of what most of the fleet has simply labeled 'The Report'.

- Notes: Male Erbian Hare, sent along for the finer points and possibilities of lashing up communications networks and the resulting code and programming clashes. Acquired several and almost always wears Hawaiian shirts. Fairly anti-social for a Erb but gets along fine with most humans in his working field. Wears SOK manufactured AugReal glasses. Has taken up pipe smoking.
