Composed of daughters and closely trusted retainers, they act as the Queen's council and as secondary leadership underneath the queen herself in conducting the affairs and day to day of her Am'lak. While 'daughters' are 'born' into this role (their hosts either being involuntary victims taken for the purpose or willing acolytes giving their bodies as hosts) the Retainers are those with symbiotes of lesser control and have risen into the position by proving themselves time and again in extending and solidifying a queen's control over a given human population and area. Of these acolytes usually a singular one is chosen as a Queen's right hand, either via seniority or capability.
