The 'Stangerakete' or 'Rod Rifle' is a man-portable electromagnetic rail-rifle system developed by Rostov & Kriegler Armaments as a clean sheet weapon intended for augmented, exo-suit, or power armor equipped personnel. As such weight was not classified as a major issue in the design resulting in a system in a similar mass class to most caselesss GPMGs in common service. However without this restriction in place its engineers where able to create a weapon tuned to the needs of heavier troop types as well as increasing its endurance and longevity against the rigors of combat service both on the ground and in space.

A complex machine built around a computer controlled firing system in the rear and a 'hot' rail system in the front, it is fed and powered by a combined powercell and 75-round drum magazine. A secondary power cell exists for keeping the weapon's operational system active between magazine loadings in the form of a screw in cylindrical power pack located inside the pistol grip.
